What does Americana mean through your lens?
We invite photographers to submit work for our upcoming exhibition “Americana,” a visual exploration of the culture, character, and spirit of the American experience. This themed show celebrates the icons, rituals, and landscapes—both cherished and overlooked—that define the American identity.
What We’re Looking For:
Photos can be nostalgic or modern, documentary, or interpretive. Submissions may include, but are not limited to:
Small-town scenes, diners, roadside attractions
Classic cars, rusted trucks, vintage signs
County fairs, Fourth of July celebrations, parades
Landscapes that evoke a distinctly American sense of place
Symbols of patriotism, protest, freedom, or change
Portraits of everyday people whose stories reflect the American spirit
Barns, churches, gas stations, train tracks, and front porches
Whether gritty, romantic, straightforward, or symbolic, we want your take on what Americana looks like today.
Submission Guidelines:
📸 Open to photographers of all levels
📸 All photographs accepted: black & white, color, film, or digital
📸 Submit up to 5 high-resolution images (JPEG, 300 dpi, max 5MB each)
📸 Include a short artist statement (max 250 words) describing how your work connects to the theme
Submission Fee:
$25 for the first image
$5 for each additional image (up to 5 total)
