On This Day …

On 2 August, photographers around the world took a pause—some in silence, others in motion—to capture what it meant to be fully present on this day. The Covert Collection invited artists to turn their lens on the fleeting, the extraordinary, and the ordinary alike.

Today, we are proud to announce the selected winners of On This Day, a special online exhibition that celebrates creative freedom and the power of presence.

With no assigned theme, photographers were free to interpret the day as they wished. The result is a collection as diverse as the moments themselves: intimate portraits, landscapes filled with quiet wonder, abstract explorations of light and shadow, and the chaos of life in motion.

These winning images remind us that every day—no matter how familiar—carries within it the potential for beauty, meaning, and discovery.

We invite you to experience the exhibition, explore the winning works, and see how photographers around the globe chose to frame their 2 August.
